An early evening structure fire on Zennia Avenue in Potomac Park caused $90,000 of structural damage to a home there. The fire was discovered at 5pm by a neighbor and took 50 firefighters from the Bowling Green Fire Department ten minutes to bring under control. A nearby neighbor rescued a dog from the residence. A preliminary investigation revealed the fire started in the kitchen area of the home. Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call the Maryland State Fire Marshal at 301.766.3888.
