The City of Cumberland Engineering Department, on behalf of Excavating Associates, would like to notify the public that there may be temporary water service outages for customers on Virginia Avenue between Bowen Street and Roberts Street starting Wednesday, September 11th, to October 4th. This is in order to perform tie ins for the water line.
The contractor will be starting at Bowen Street and working towards Roberts Street over the duration. Once the work progresses to Offutt Street, there will be road closures with a detour.
Signage will be in place to detour passenger vehicles around the road closures as necessary. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Additional information will be released in the event the closure duration needs to be extended.
