According local football authority Todd Helmick, area football may be in jeopardy after an Allegany football player reportedly has tested positive for COVID-19. According to Helmick, the football team was told to quarantine for 14 days and did not practice Thursday. Depending on other positive tests, and if Allegany would have to shut down their season, this would put the rest of the area schools at a loss on scheduling and may lead to the whole season to be shuttered.
