The Cumberland Parks and Recreation Department has been given the approval to resume pool parties, swimming lessons and Pool Movie Nights, effective immediately. Pool Parties Pool parties at the Constitution Park Pool encompass a two-hour block and include up to 50 swimmers. The rental will include the top deck area, five picnic tables and a trash can – food can be served on the top deck area during the festivities. Rentals are available only during public pool hours, with a fee of $100 for a two-hour pool party. To reserve a date and time for your next pool party, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 301-759-6636. Group Swim Lessons Group swimming lessons, for swimmers between the ages of 5 and 12, will begin the week of July 19th and occur Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. The cost of swim lessons is $8 per week and will run for the following weeks: July 19-22 July 26-29 August 2-5 August 9-12 Space is limited each week, and advanced registration is required. Stop by the Pool Office to reserve a space. Pool Movie Night Join your friends and fellow swimmers for an evening under the stars, watching a movie on the big screen. We are working on the details of our first Movie Night and will share that information as soon as we have it.
