Police agencies across the state of Maryland are sending condolences to Virginia State Police after a trooper lost his life in the line of duty.
Trooper Chad Dermyer died yesterday after a man shot him at a Greyhound bus station. The gunman was killed by other troopers.
Via Twitter, the Cecil County Sheriff's Office says it mourns the loss of another brother in blue murdered in the line of duty, and Maryland Natural Resources Police extend their sympathy and prayers to the family, friends and colleagues of Trooper Dermyer.

In Prince George's County, where police lost Officer Jacai Colson in a March 13th shootout, the department sent its deepest condolences to Virginia State Police.
