CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED

On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Linda Conner.  The summons was issued as the result of a private citizen filing for charges against Conner at the District Court of Allegany County.  Conner signed for her copy of the summons and she was released pending trial.

ARRESTED:  Linda Fay Conner       AGE:  66          Cumberland, MD

CHARGES:  Theft: $100 to under $1500, Malicious Destruction of Property less than $1000

ARREST WARRANT SERVED

On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Glenn Williams.  The warrant was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on June 3, 2024.  On this date at approximately 3:41 PM, police responded to a business in the 100 block of N. Centre Street for a theft.  The officer contacted the staff who reported that the suspect stole property from the store.  The suspect was no longer on scene.  After investigation, the suspect was identified as Glenn Williams.  Police filed for charges against Williams at the District Court of Allegany County.  Williams was arrested and transported to Central Booking.  He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

CHARGES:  Theft less than $100

ASSAULT ARREST

On Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at approximately 8:40 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 100 block of Arch Street for a disturbance.  When officers arrived, they could hear a female screaming for help.  Due to the circumstances and nobody opening the door, officers forced entry to the residence.  Once inside, the suspect, Daniel Jefts, surrendered to officers.  Officers observed that the female occupant had sustained injuries.  After further investigation, it was determined that Jefts had caused the injuries to the female.  He was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking.  He was seen by a District Court Commissioner and later posted a $5,000 bond.

CHARGES:  Assault-2nd Degree

On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served eight bench warrants on Jared Citarelli. 

Warrant# 1: Circuit Court- Fail to Appear, Original Charge: CDS: Possess-Not Cannabis

Warrant# 2: Circuit Court- Violation of Pre-Trial Release, Original Charge: CDS: Possess-Not Cannabis

Warrant# 3: Circuit Court- Fail to Appear, Original Charge: CDS: Possess-Not Marijuana

Warrant# 4: Circuit Court- Violation of Pre-Trial Release, Original Charge: CDS: Possess-Not Marijuana

Warrant# 5: District Court- Fail to Appear, Original Charge: Hit & Run traffic charge

Warrant# 6: District Court- Fail to Appear, Original Charge: CDS: Possess-Not Cannabis

Warrant# 7: District Court- Fail to Appear, Original Charge: CDS: Possess-Not Cannabis

Warrant# 8: District Court- Fail to Appear, Original Charge: CDS: Possess-Not Cannabis

Citarelli was arrested and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center where he is currently being held without bond pending his appearance before the Circuit Court.  Citarelli was also seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing regarding the District Court warrants and held on a temporary commitment-recalcitrant.
