Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh, the academic partner of UPMC, have validated a new blood test platform for biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease. The new test can simultaneously measure more than a hundred biomarkers, which can improve early disease diagnostics. Researchers say capturing early molecular changes in brains of individuals at risk for Alzheimer’s allows tracking of disease progression and helps develop guidelines for early intervention.
