With over $6 million dollars in funding flowing into Allegany County from the Senator George Edwards Fund, there are 13 projects that can move forward to bring economic development to the area.  One of the businesses receiving funding is PharmaCare.  WCBC spoke with John Balch, President of the PharmaCare Network, and he said the funding they received will be used for government-mandated updates to their infusion center on Commerce Drive in Cumberland.  PharmaCare Infusion Services does home infusion of IV medications for chemo, nutrition, antibiotics, pain management, and hydration.  This funding, according to Balch, will create an ambulatory infusion center which will preserve and create up to 25 jobs over the next five years.
