Twenty-six officers from law enforcement agencies across the state graduated from the University Of Maryland’s DUI Institute. The 40-hour program develops leaders in the enforcement of alcohol-impaired driving laws, sobriety testing and checkpoints, DUI courts, and testimony. The program originated in 2003 and over 500 officers have participated. Among the most recent graduates is Patrolman First Class Duncan Cramer from the Cumberland Police Department.
