Marylanders who filed for an extension on their 2023 personal income tax returns must file returns by October 15th. Free in-person state preparation is available at the 11 branch offices throughout the state. Maryland taxpayers can receive help in-person, or during a virtual appointment, as long as they have completed a federal return. For more information on filing tax returns or answers to other questions can be found at the Comptroller’s website, www.marylandtaxes.gov, by emailing TaxHelp@marylandtaxes.gov or calling 410-260-7980.
