With an increase in political rallies and other events outside of the downtown area, questions have arisen to when city-issued permits are needed. Mayor Ray Morris told WCBC the City will be looking into more details, but currently there is a fine line that determines the permit process…

   

“It is in how they are promoting it, and that is something that we are going to have to take a good look at because they are just saying, ‘Oh, this is something that I nationally going to happen,’ but if they start promoting the fact that they are going to have speakers and different things like that, then it becomes subject to the permits.”
