Pennsylvania’s Departments of Health and Aging are urging older adults to make sure they are up to date on their vaccinations as respiratory infection season sets in. At a press conference on Thursday, Dr. Debra Bogen, Secretary of Health for the state, received a flu shot and encouraged older residents to be vaccinated against the flu, COVID, and RSV, a virus which can be dangerous for older adults…
“For the second year in a row, we have a vaccine for RSV. And because, as I said, older adults are at higher risk of getting RSV, the CDC recommends the RSV vaccine for everyone 75 and older, and 60 and older for people with certain health conditions.”
