On 09/29/2024 at approximately 6:45 PM the Cumberland City Police was dispatched to the 200 block of Pear Street for an assault. Officers were advised that Alex Unger was intoxicated and had assaulted two juveniles at that location. Officers were able to view a witness’ cell phone video of the incident. On the video Unger is seen assaulting a teenaged juvenile. Officers observed minor injuries to the victims. The officer applied for charges and an Arrest Warrant was issued. Officers were able to locate Unger and place him under arrest without incident. Unger was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center for central booking. Unger received a hearing before a District Court Commissioner and was released on a $5,000.00 unsecured bond.

Charges – 2 counts of Assault 2nd degree, 2 counts of intoxicated endangerment
