Mayor Ray Morris told WCBC News that the city is preparing a plan for spring and summer paving. He said part of the $5.2 million dollars in bonds recently approved will be used for new equipment that will save the city money and enable it do more work without outside contractors…
“We really believe that that’s going to help reduce the cost in the long run and by buying that equipment, it’s going to make it so that we can do more paving. Quite frankly, we’re really behind and we have to get caught up. Devin Burke, the head of the Street Department has a plan. We’ll be announcing pretty shortly here what the exact plan is for which streets in the city that we’re trying to get paved.”
