Parking restrictions and street closures will take place for today's Rock the Block in the downtown Cumberland area between the hours of 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Parking will be prohibited from 6 a.m. on Saturday, October 12th, until 6:00 a.m on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the following locations: Pershing Street from Mechanic to Liberty Street, Dexter Place from Liberty Street to Pershing Street and the MPA parking lot on Merchants Alley. At 6:00 a.m. parking restrictions will occur on Pershing Street, Dexter Place and Merchants Alley. The following streets will be closed on Saturday October 12, 2024: Pershing Street from Mechanic Street to Liberty Street. Liberty Street from Frederick Street to Union Street. All streets should be opened by 11:00 pm. Please expect an increase in vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the area.
