On Monday, July 1st, 2024, at approx. 0115 hours, the Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Park St. for the report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival on scene, officers contacted the residents who advised that a male subject, Joshua Michael Clark Sr, 29, had entered their home without permission, before leaving the scene on foot. They also advised that Clark was in violation of a Protective Order, which was able to be verified by the 911 Joint Communications Center. Officers searched the area and located Clark a short time later, taking him into custody without further incident. At the time of his arrest, Clark was also found to be concealing a large knife on his person. He was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center Central Booking unit where he awaits a Bond Hearing.
