Parents and teachers at Calvary Christian Academy in Cresaptown have sent letters to both the Calvary Baptist Church Deacons Board and the Academy School Committee voicing support for Pastor Dan Thompson, the school’s administrator and seeking clarity on several issues. Parents and other community members attempted to attend a church board meeting Sunday but were requested to leave. The parents then went to the parking lot of the church and school, but Maryland State Police were called to the scene by someone at the church. A reporter from WCBC was on the scene and asked the MSP officer what charges could be filed against the parents and others, but he said he was unaware of anything and would have to inquire with the state's attorney if that would occur.
