Pennsylvania’s rural hospitals are continuing to struggle post-COVID with a shortage of physicians, mental health providers, and nurses leaving patients with little options for medical care. The Center for Rural Pennsylvania held a hearing last week with hospital and public health experts about the challenges facing rural hospitals and staffing was a major issue.
