Over $700,000 from ARC Coming to Local Counties

Over $700,000 in funding from the Appalachian Regional Commission will assist projects in Garrett, Allegany, and Washington counties. 

Western Maryland AHEC will have funding for their Innovation Readiness Training Medical Mission.  Allegany College will purchase computer technology for nursing and medical assistant programs, and Garrett County will have planning funds for the Meadow Mountain trail. Hagerstown Community College and Frostburg State University also received funding for projects.

Maryland’s federal delegation announced the funding.
