A special initiative by law enforcement in West Virginia to combat the ongoing drug crisis in the state has been deemed a success. Operation October Sky united over 30 law enforcement agencies from across the state, to disrupt critical drug trafficking networks. “We have now seized 28 pounds of meth, nearly half a pound of fentanyl, fentanyl pills along with other dangerous drugs like heroin and cocaine. We made 70 felony arrests. 176 misdemeanor arrests. We took 30 firearms off the street.”
