Electric utility proposals totaling more than $230 million to support electric vehicle growth would burden utility customers, the Office of People’s Counsel told the Maryland Public Service Commission in comments filed late last week. The OPC recommended the Commission should reject or limit many of the costs that the utilities propose, OPC recommended. OPC is asking that companies be directed to reduce proposed administrative costs and deny most proposed incentives for customer-owned equipment.
