Offshore wind projects on both coasts of the United States are ongoing in an attempt to harness wind power for energy. Maryland, through the efforts of U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen and the White House, is set to develop two such wind farms off the coast of the Delmarva Peninsula. The wind energy would enable the state to make progress toward its climate and clean energy goals.
