November Jobs Report Sees Increase

Maryland’s private sector added over 5,000 jobs in November, according to employment estimates released by the U.S. Department of Labor Statistics.  The state’s total employment grew by 7,100 jobs.  The highest job growth continues to be seen in Health Care and Social Assistance. Maryland’s unemployment rate increased to 3.1% with an estimated additional 2,700 workers off the job. Job losses for the month came from areas including construction, finance and insurance, and administrative and support.
