A nostalgic short holiday film featuring Cumberland brings together tourism, small business and community. The project is a partnership with Stone Lyons Media and actors Garrett Webb and Kathryn Disher from the Embassy Theater who play elves traveling to downtown Cumberland for the Christmas tree lighting. Stone Lyons, who relocated his business to Cumberland during the pandemic, talks with WCBC News about his motivation for the film…

 

"To create something that was unique to help promote the businesses not only for people locally but also for outside to drive business and tourism to the downtown area and also to highlight the the Polar Express. In the elf community at the North Pole, Cumberland is this magical place and so the elves are very excited to come to this magical place of Cumberland and experience it for themselves and take in the tree lighting."

Stone Lyons Media specializes in promotion, fundraising and advocacy videos for clients in Washington DC and locally here in Allegany with Wills Creek museum and Cumberland's Downtown Development Commission.
