Anne of Green Gables at The Embassy Theatre, 49 Baltimore Street from July 19th at 8 p.m. and July 21st at 2 p.m. The Embassy Theatre is happy to present its annual youth production, Anne of Green Gables. In the late 19th century, when aging brother and sister Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert send to the orphanage in Nova Scotia for a boy to help them on the farm, their request gets mixed up and they are instead left with 11-year-old Anne Shirley. Over six years, the romantic, hot-headed, and energetic girl wins their hearts and turns the stodgy, rural Canadian community into a bright world of "kindred spirits." This theatrical adaptation of the classic novel is an all-ages crowd pleaser.
