The Allegany County Sheriff’s is holding their annual No Shave event this month and next to help raise money for families with a child struggling with cancer. During October and November, officers will be participating by donating money and not shaving. All proceeds will go to Schwab Family Cancer Center. Sheriff Robertson says citizens can also participate by donating to the Sheriff’s Department in an officer’s name. Robertson has donated four of his original drawings to raffle off…
“I did one for the Cumberland City Police, I did a drawing for the Maryland State Police, I did one with the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, of course, and then I did another for our firefighters. I’ve donated them to the Sheriff’s Office and we’re gonna be raffling off raffle tickets, and on December 2nd we will have a drawing and there will be four winners.”
