No proposals have yet been received for developing the site of the old Allegany High School on Cumberland’s West Side.  The 12-acre parcel has been leveled and is ready for building but the county has not yet received any proposals – the deadline has been extended for developers to submit their plans.  County Administrator Jason Bennett says that is not uncommon…

Bennett also said that there are discussions about infrastructure around the site for traffic flow, but mostly the site is ready to be developed.  The County is hoping for a mix of housing options on the site. 

The new deadline for proposals is now August 25^th.
