The Allegany County School Board will have a new face after Tuesday’s election. Incumbent Chrystal Bender was the top vote getter, followed by newcomer Max Green. Current board member Tammy Fraley finished third in the voting. Bender talked to WCBC about the support she had for her campaign…
“I had a lot of help county wide and they helped me get the signs out there and get my name out and I’ve tried to take the time to respond to everyone and answer their questions and I think the last four years on the board helped me the second time around, obviously.”
Max Green also spoke about how teachers supported his win with WCBC…
“Teachers were galvanized. They did not endorse incumbents specifically in this race. They were at the polls today talking to voters and that made the difference.”
