A voter poll in August from AARP showed Maryland U.S. Senate candidates Angela Alsobrooks and Larry Hogan in pretty much a dead heat at 46% each. A month later, newer polls are showing that Hogan’s support is slipping. Three polls recently released – Morning Consult, Public Policy Polling, and RealClearPolitics – all give a significant bump to Alsobrooks, showing her with an average 12-point advantage. Alsobrooks told CNN, Hogan is still considered a swing vote for Trump policies. “The stakes of the race couldn’t be any higher. Our reproductive freedoms are now at stake. We recognize that this Republican caucus led by Mitch McConnell is also going to be in charge of the Supreme Court and what he’s done with the Supreme Court is to give immunity. They are favoring big corporations over average middle-class Americans.”
