On Tuesday, the Cumberland City Council approved the execution of a new employment agreement with current City Administrator Jeff Silka for the next five years. Silka will receive an annual salary of approximately $159,349.00.  Mayor Ray Morriss said the city has great confidence in Silka’s abilities…

“Jeff Silka has done well. He’s really a highly organized individual who really knows all the ins and outs of running a municipality and we feel he’s doing a really good job so we went ahead and signed him up for the next five.”

Jeff Silka took time at the Council meeting to thank the members for the agreement…

“I want to take this opportunity to thank you for having confidence in me and allowing me to continue as City Administrator for the next five years. It’s been a pleasure for the last three and I look forward to the next five.”
