Christopher Myers has opted to drop out of the race for Cumberland City Council. 

Myers is the morning news anchor at WCBC, and the station would be subject to providing equal air time to each of the other candidates in the race, unless they signed a waiver.  

Candidate Brett Bean respectfully declined to do so.
