WCBC’s family was glad to hear from Paul “Buddy” Mullan recently. He continues to recuperate in Silver Spring, Maryland. He said he is progressing but still having some issues with recurring pneumonia and a bout with kidney stones. He called to commemorate the anniversary of his father’s efforts in World War II, immortalized in the movie “A Bridge Too Far”…
“Today is the 80th anniversary of my dad’s major action in World War Two. He was a paratrooper and they jumped into Arnhem and they had a river crossing this day. And 48 men died in the river crossing. And I wanted to make mention of that and make memory for them because I know he carried that through his life.”
