Behavioral health screenings can be initiated with specialist referrals. Veterinary services are provided today with rabies vaccinations, medical exams and nail trimming.

David Stewart of AHEC West is assisting in coordinating the Mountain Maryland Innovative Readiness training and spoke with WCBC News saying that lines have been short and encourage people to come out and participate in the free health care event…

"We've had a good number of people. I don't know the count just yet but you know we haven't been pressed so if you worried you're going to have to wait for hours and hours that's not the case. If you were hesitating for any reason just come on out."

The event is sponsored by AHEC West, Allegany County Health Department, HRDC, Social Services, Western Maryland Consortion, Lifeline phones and a number of community groups. The event will end on August 5th at 4 p.m.
