Mountain Maryland Film Festival

Grab a friend, buy a ticket, and get ready to celebrate all things film, including our juried filmmakers for 2024 – Maria Hite, Ethan Romaine, Desmond Denton, Jack Glisan and Liv Childs, along with films submitted by the Maryland State Arts Council. The 2024 theme for the film festival is music in addition to the filmmaking competition, which is now accepting submissions, the event will also feature the director and producer of an award-winning documentary, “Firebird: Built to Burn,” which explores the town of Phoenixville, PA, and the musical and cultural festival created two-decades ago by building, and then burning a wooden phoenix. Colleen Brady and Charlie Hudson, both award-winning filmmakers, will join the event for a live conversation. Popular music films including American Graffiti and Saturday Night Fever will be screened, with a special block of shorts and an award presentation to the winning filmmakers Tickets are $25 per person and include all films and activities throughout the weekend.
