Yet another truck rollover this week on Interstate 68 approaching the city has made the call for more safety and speed enforcement more pronounced.
While the issue of truck brakes needs to be addressed long before the vehicles get to the infamous Moose Curve, it appears the federal government may be planning a survey looking at ways to improve the interstate through the city, according to Cumberland Mayor Ray Morriss…
"The federal government will be doing this study of the interstate through the city of Cumberland and the best route would be and how to make it safer."
The many exits off I-68 through the city can be confusing to travelers and a better solution may be found through the study.
