West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey traveled to Washington D.C. Wednesday to sit in on President Donald Trump’s signing of an executive order that bans transgender athletes from competing in women’s and girls’ sports.  Trump signed the executive order, which is titled “Keep Men Out of Women’s Sports,” on National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The order will give federal agencies the ability to ensure that federally funded entities abide by Title IX, which interprets sex as the gender athletes were assigned at birth.  Morrisey, in a statement, said he’s proud to stand next to President Trump in support of the order.
