Almost $3 million in grants from the Maryland Higher Education Commission have been announced to help address the state’s nursing shortage. This comes in addition to funding announced in July that will help support the need for more nurse educators who are critical in getting students out of the classroom and into the healthcare system. Funds will support 49 new nurse faculty at universities and community colleges in the state including Allegany College of Maryland and Frostburg State University.
