Moore Says Immigration Needs Addressed

February 19th, 2025 by WCBC Radio

Maryland Governor Wes Moore addressed a number of issues during a town hall interview with WBFF-TV.  On the topic of immigration, Moore says it is a subject he takes very seriously, being the son of an immigrant woman. His orders to Maryland agencies and law enforcement are to cooperate and not impugn efforts of ICE officials, but the solution won’t come in a Presidential order…

“There is no executive order that the President can sign that is going to fix the immigration crisis. Do you know why? Because the President is not responsible for it. It’s Congress’s job to be able to fix this and I think Congress needs to prioritize it in a way that we have not prioritized it and not gotten any bills signed and done.”
