On Saturday June 29th, 2024 at approximately 2:05 am officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 200 block of Memorial Avenue for a reported assault. Upon officer’s arrival they spoke with the victim who alleged that Aaron Manning had assaulted them. The victim alleged that Manning had struck them in the face and had strangled them. The officers were able to observe evidence of the assault and placed Manning under arrest. He was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center where a quantity of suspected fentanyl was located concealed upon his person. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner and was held without bond.
Arrest: Aaron Devone Manning, age 47, Cumberland Maryland.
Charges: Assault First Degree, Assault Second Degree, Possession of Contraband in a Place of Confinement, Possession not Cannabis.
