For the ninth time, Del McCoury walked away with Entertainer of the Year honors at the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards in Raleigh, North Carolina late last week. The Travelin’ McCourys won for Instrumental Group of the Year and Del’s son Rob McCoury took home the award for Banjo Player of the Year.
