Lonaconing Goodwill Fire Armory will be holding their once a month chicken barbeque this Saturday, October 12. The barbeque is a major fundraiser for the fire company and begins at 11am until sold out. The event is located across from the George’s Creek Library in the fire department parking lot. Lonaconing Mayor Jack Coburn says people should come early to be sure they get a meal. There will also be chances available on a lottery ticket wreath…
“They usually have a very good turn-out. They do it once a month. So, if you’re gonna do it, we recommend you notify someone or call in, and they’ll take your order and secure your food.”
