Cumberland’s mayor is convinced that current issues and attitudes around parking in the downtown can be overcome.  Mayor Ray Morriss said he knows that the shops in the downtown are unique and carry high-quality items that can’t be found at big-box retailers. Because of that, he says shoppers will make the extra effort to shop at the specialty stores…

    

“I believe in our restaurants, I believe in our stores. And I want them to believe in themselves also. And with our new downtown Baltimore Street, people will come and they will spend their money.”
