While Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has some of the highest approval numbers in the nation- from both parties- his popularity hasn’t extended to national polls looking at the 2024 presidential election. Hogan, a Republican governor leading a state that is overwhelmingly Democrat, has received high marks from Marylander’s throughout his first 7 plus years in office. His previous stint as chair of the National Governor’s Association- coupled with regular guest appearances on the Sunday morning news programs- has raised his profile- but not enough to make a dent in the polls looking at possible presidential candidates. Hogan consistently fails to even register in those polls.
