The price of gasoline in Maryland continues to drop. The average price for regular unleaded fuel in the state on Tuesday was $4.15 per gallon. According to AAA last week, the average price in Maryland was $4.33. The state ranked at No. 25 on the list of all 50 states and Washington when it came to the cheapest regular fuel prices in the country. Maryland was 3 cents below the national average of $4.18. Last month, the average price in the state was $4.79 per gallon. Locally, Allegany County is well above the state average at $4.34 a gallon while Garrett County is even higher at $4.38. Washington County is at $4.19 a gallon.
