Maryland’s two-week firearms hunting season for sika and white-tailed deer opens the Saturday after Thanksgiving and runs through Sunday, December 14. Sunday hunting in Allegany County is allowed. Hunters should be aware that Chronic Wasting Disease is present in Allegany, Frederick and Washington Counties and deer carcasses cannot be transported outside those areas. Maryland requires all hunters to wear daylight fluorescent orange or pink when hunting.
