U.S. Senators Ben Cardin, Chris Van Hollen and other Maryland delegation members recently announced over $10 million dollars in funding for 11 Maryland projects designed to protect and restore water quality, species, and habitats in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Lawmakers said the bay watershed puts food on tables and supports the livelihood of thousands of people across the region. Monies will go to projects to preserve shoreline, mitigate storm water runoff, increase conservation, and engage the community.
