U.S. Senators Chris Van Hollen, Ben Cardin along with Congress members from Maryland have announced $398,000 in federal funding to support five state-based projects focused on restoration, education, and volunteerism for the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The federal awards are provided through the National Park Service’s Chesapeake Bay Gateway Grant Assistance program. Included is $49,000 to the Maryland Humanities Council to develop online resources for groups working to preserve the watershed.
