Maryland will highlight the state’s free unclaimed property service.  The service has reunited Marylanders with lost and forgotten assets for more than 50 years. In 2024, Maryland’s Unclaimed Property division has returned $60 million to rightful owners and heirs. State Comptroller Brook Lierman says her office has increased outreach efforts to let citizens know how to make claims on property the state safeguards.
