Maryland Attorney General Supports Keeping Families Together

November 20th, 2024 by WCBC Radio

President-Elect Donald Trump says he will use the military to help deport millions of undocumented immigrants, but Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown has joined a coalition in filing an amicus brief that supports a program called “Keeping Families Together.”  The federal program allows illegal spouses and stepchildren of U.S. Citizens to apply for permanent residence. The brief argues that the government has the authority implement the program to protect family unity, as it has been a hallmark of immigration policy for decades.
