Shaun Cody Nida, 35 of Frostburg has been on the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Most Wanted List since February 28, 2025 for two (2) Circuit Court Bench Warrants.
1) Violation of a Court Order with the underlying charges of Escape-2nd Degree and Conspiracy – Possession With Intent to Distribute where he received a 5-year jail term with all but 3-months suspended and 5-years Supervised Probation.
2) Escape – 2nd Degree – Condition of Release (Absconding from 8-507 Treatment) where he received an 18-month jail term.

On 04/22/25, the Allegany County Combined Warrant Unit initiated an investigation when information was developed that Shaun Cody Nida was staying in a camper in the area of Bedford Road in Cumberland. Through the investigation, the camper was located, and Nida was found inside attempting to hide. Mr. Nida was taken into custody without incident. He is being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

Additionally, Tyler Matthew Zalewski, 33 of Frostburg, was also located at that same location where he was subsequently arrested and charged with Obstruction and Hindering, Harboring a Fugitive, CDS: Possession-Not Cannabis and Possession of Contraband Inside a Place of Confinement. Zalewski was released on his own recognizance by the court commissioner.
